Ruddy Rodríguez volunteers in La Guaira earthquake relief

Venezuelan actress and entrepreneur Ruddy Rodríguez arrived in early July to assist victims of the recent earthquakes in La Guaira. Acting as a member of the Ministros Voluntarios de Scientology, she helped establish communications infrastructure, including Starlink terminals, to support rescue teams from the Topos Aztecas and Mexican firefighters.

Rodríguez described her duties as providing logistical aid, hydration, food, and emotional support to both families searching for missing relatives and the rescuers themselves. She said she witnessed both “the greatness and the poverty of the soul,” noting acts of compassion alongside instances of indifference. The volunteer team continues to operate from four camps in Macuto, Caraballeda, Los Cocos, and Tanaguarena, offering spiritual and psychological assistance and conducting preparedness talks for future seismic events.
