Actress Samantha Morton mourns sister's death at 53

Actress Samantha Morton, 49, announced that her sister died on April 22 at the age of 53, just months after the death of their biological father 18 months earlier. Morton, one of nine siblings, said she is still dealing with coroners and the trauma of both losses.

She recalled a troubled childhood spent in foster care after her parents separated when she was two, and has frequently spoken about the care system. Morton, mother of three and BAFTA Fellow, dedicated her recent fellowship award to children in care and highlighted her personal experiences in recent interviews.
