Actress Shu Chang transitions from acting to online sales

Chinese actress Shu Chang, once considered a major contemporary and rival to Liu Yifei, has transitioned from acting to online sales. Born in 1987, Shu began her acting career at age five and achieved national fame by age 13.

Her career reached a peak with roles in productions such as ‘Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils’, which established her as an A-list star across mainland China and Asia. During the early 2000s, she was highly regarded for her beauty and versatility in both period and modern dramas.

Following a decline in her acting prominence starting around 2009, where she increasingly appeared in supporting roles, Shu Chang quietly withdrew from the screen in 2017. She has since found success in the livestreaming commerce sector.
