Actueel Art Platform announces 2026 anniversary expo in Ninove

The Actueel Art Platform (A.A.P.) is organizing its fifth anniversary exhibition, titled ‘De Andere Blik & Authenticiteit in de Kunst’ (The Other Look & Authenticity in Art), in Ninove. The platform aims to promote contemporary arts by featuring both established professionals and emerging talents from Flanders, Brussels, and Wallonia.

The exhibition seeks to bring contemporary art to the Denderland region, making it accessible to residents who may not frequently travel to major cities. The theme serves as a defense of the autonomous artist, emphasizing unique human vision and authenticity in response to a world increasingly shaped by mass production, digital filters, and artificial intelligence.

Curated by artist Hilde Nijs, the expo features 24 artists, including Nick Andrews, Leyla Aydoslu, Nicolas Baeyens, Stijn Bastianen, Fred Bervoets, Yannick Carlier, Guy Cleuren, Bert Danckaert, Ronny Delrue, Joke Derycke, Freddy De Vierman, Marleen Dewulf, Karin Hanssen, Lieven Herreman, Tom Liekens, Benny Madalijns, Herman Maes, Nadia Naveau, Hilde Nijs, Veerle Michiels, Erik Van de Mert, Frieda Van Dun, Marilou van Lierop, Jonas Vansteenkiste, and Anna Ver.
