Acuña brothers set MLB postseason stolen base record

Venezuelan brothers Ronald and Luisángel Acuña have set a Major League Baseball postseason record. According to the Elias Sports Bureau, they became the first pair of brothers to each record multiple stolen bases in the same inning during different postseason games on the same day.

During the Wild Card Series, Ronald Acuña Jr. stole second and third base in the first inning while playing for the Atlanta Braves against the Philadelphia Phillies. Simultaneously, Luisángel Acuña, playing as a pinch runner for the Chicago White Sox against the Houston Astros, also stole second and third base in the sixth inning.

This achievement surpasses previous postseason records held by brothers Bret and Aaron Boone, as well as Cuban brothers Yuli and Lourdes Gurriel Jr.
