Acueducto Metropolitano of Bucaramanga advances water and sanitation projects

The Acueducto Metropolitano de Bucaramanga S.A. ESP is preparing water and basic sanitation projects under the Obras por Impuestos mechanism, targeting rural municipalities such as Charta, Matanza and Suratá. Activities include reviewing technical documents, budgets and specifications, as well as hydraulic modelling of the Macizo sewer network with EPA SWMM software to ensure compliance with national standards.

In Chulucanas, Piura, EPS Grau S.A. is carrying out concrete slab replacement and surface rehabilitation on streets where earlier repairs addressed water‑pipeline leaks. Work covers locations like Calle Libertad, the intersection of Calle Lima and Calle Huancavelica, and includes restoring a damaged curb to improve vehicular and pedestrian access, part of a broader maintenance program to strengthen water‑distribution reliability.
