Tamaulipas Government Boosts School Board Participation and Energy Sector Collaboration

The Secretaría de Educación de Tamaulipas (SET) announced a program to increase involvement of mothers, fathers and tutors in school board tables for the 2026‑2027 academic cycle. Samuel Alcántar Varela, head of SET’s Executive Unit, said a recent meeting defined follow‑up mechanisms, communication strategies and joint actions to support each school, aligning with Governor Américo Villarreal Anaya’s vision and the direction of Education Secretary Miguel Ángel Valdez García.

Separately, the Secretaría de Desarrollo Energético (SEDENER) signed a framework collaboration agreement with Equipos y Servicios Industriales Generales (Eservices). The pact aims to train and inform petroleum‑sector operators and gas‑station owners on regulatory compliance, safety, traceability and fuel quality. Walter Julián Ángel Jiménez, SEDENER secretary, highlighted the partnership’s role in professionalising the state’s energy sector and noted Eservices’ participation in the upcoming International Energy Congress Tamaulipas 2026 (27‑29 Oct, Expo Tampico). Both initiatives reflect the governor’s policy agenda to strengthen public services and the regional economy.
