Acura and Meyer Shank Racing conclude IMSA partnership

Acura and Meyer Shank Racing (MSR) are set to conclude their long-standing partnership in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship at the upcoming Petit Le Mans. During qualifying for the season finale at Road Atlanta, the Acura ARX-06 driven by Tom Blomqvist, Colin Braun, and Scott Dixon secured the top starting position with a lap time of 1:09.703.

The conclusion of the program marks a significant shift for the series. MSR, founded by Mike Shank, has been a mainstay in IMSA competition since 2004 and has achieved notable success, including three IMSA championships and two Indianapolis 500 wins with Honda/Acura support. Following Acura's decision to pause its factory GTP class entry at the end of the season, MSR will also conclude its scheduled IMSA starts.
