AD Ports Group reduces emissions intensity in 2025
AD Ports Group has released its 2025 Sustainability Report, detailing a 6% reduction in emissions intensity per unit of revenue. The Group’s total emissions intensity fell to 190.68 tCO2e per AED 1 million in revenue, down from 203.06 tCO2e in 2024.
This reduction occurred alongside a 20% increase in revenue, which reached AED 20.77 billion. The company attributed these gains to increased operating efficiencies, the use of solar electricity, electric-powered vessels, and lower-impact maritime fuels. Additionally, the Group purchased 47,960 megawatt-hours of renewable energy certificates to lower its energy-related emissions.
To support the UAE Net Zero 2050 strategic initiative and the Paris Agreement, AD Ports Group has adopted a decarbonisation pathway featuring 139 initiatives planned through 2050. This plan involves a projected investment of USD 636 million over 25 years, targeting a cumulative reduction of 2.9 million tCO2e.
