ADAC GT Masters announces 20th anniversary season and format changes
The ADAC GT Masters will celebrate its 20th anniversary next season, featuring a record-breaking prize pool of €775,000 in cash and in-kind rewards. To mark the milestone, the series is increasing its support for young drivers through the “Road to DTM” program. The winner of the “Road to DTM” standings will receive a support package valued at €620,000, which includes cash prizes, a tire package, and the entry fee required to promote to the DTM series.
The upcoming season will consist of six races, five of which are scheduled to take place as part of the DTM program. The campaign is set to begin from April 23rd to 25th at the Red Bull Ring in Austria.
To better prepare junior drivers for higher levels of motorsport, the sporting format will undergo changes. The series will transition to one-hour sprint races, similar to the DTM format. Additionally, tire changes will now be integrated into the standard driver change during pit stops, requiring drivers to manage performance on cold Pirelli P Zero tires.
