ADAC Opel Rally Junior Team secures second season win at Poland JERC rally

Belgian drivers Tom Heindrichs and Jonas Schmitz claimed their first Junior European Rally Championship (JERC) victory in the Corsa Rally4 at the Rally Poland round, delivering the ADAC Opel Rally Junior Team its second season triumph. After posting the fastest time in the second special stage, they held a 21.5‑second lead to the finish and moved to within one point of the JERC overall leader.

Team mates Timo Schulz and co‑driver Maresa Lade suffered a puncture early in the event, limiting them to a tenth‑place finish. Fellow competitors Claire Schönborn and Michael Wenzel missed the top ten by a single position, ending the rally in twelfth place. The rally took place on the asphalt stages around Katowice, Poland, and was the third round of the 2026 JERC season.

Heindrich, 22, praised the weekend, saying, “Das ganze Wochenende lief traumhaft,” and expressed optimism for the upcoming rallies.
