Adactin completes testing for Australian Bureau of Statistics Census service
Technology services provider Adactin has completed a testing program for the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) to support the 2026 Census. The project focused on the ABS Paper Form Request Service (PFRS), which utilizes interactive voice response (IVR) technology to allow residents to request physical paper forms as an alternative to online completion.
Adactin was contracted to provide specialist IVR performance-testing expertise, test management, and coordination. Using purpose-built tooling from the AI trust company Cyara, the firm ensured the service could handle expected user strain. The contract, awarded via a tender process in March, was valued at approximately $282,258.90.
According to Adactin ANZ Country Head Vab Mittal, the testing provided the ABS with the necessary assurance for deployment. The service reportedly operated smoothly during the Census period, enabling thousands of members of the Australian public to access paper forms.
