Adairsville High School wins JROTC National Raider title

Adairsville High School secured first place in the Masters Division male category at the JROTC National Raider Challenge held at Fort Knox, Kentucky, from October 22 to 25. The event, hosted by the U.S. Army Cadet Command, brought together approximately 4,000 cadets from high schools across the United States.

Participants competed in various tests of physical fitness, teamwork, and practical skills, including obstacle courses, five-kilometer runs, classroom knowledge assessments, and timed one-rope bridge construction. The competition featured three primary divisions: Challenge, Masters, and All-Service.

The top-performing teams advanced to the Ultimate Raider event, a 4.2-mile cross-country course where teams carried 102 pounds of equipment through four additional obstacles. In addition to Adairsville's victory, Cartersville High School earned third place in the Challenge Division female category.
