Adakpamé hosts youth training and mentorship program

The ‘Useful Vacations for Youth’ training program officially launched on August 31, 2026, in Adakpamé, within the Golfe 1 commune. Organized by the Jeunesse en Mission pour le Développement (JEMD) association, the six-day initiative aims to engage approximately 1,000 young Togolese participants.

Under the theme ‘Train the mind, reveal the potential, trigger action,’ the program focuses on practical learning and networking rather than traditional classroom methods. Participants will interact directly with professionals from various sectors, including entrepreneurship, law, culture, and the arts.

Komi Edzodzinam Alagbo, president of JEMD, described the approach as atypical, noting that instead of using slides or PowerPoints, experts will share personal experiences, including both successes and failures, to provide direct mentorship. The launch was held under the sponsorship of Togbui Adjikou Lankli 1er, the chief of the Adakpamé Kpota-Colas district.
