Adam Boqvist signs with Genève-Servette HC

Genève-Servette HC has signed Swedish defenseman Adam Boqvist to a contract running through the 2027-28 season. The 26-year-old joins the Swiss National League club with immediate effect.

Boqvist brings significant NHL experience to the team, having played 280 games and recording 103 points (27 goals and 76 assists). His previous NHL teams include the Chicago Blackhawks, Columbus Blue Jackets, Florida Panthers, and most recently, the New York Islanders. Boqvist was originally selected eighth overall in the first round of the 2018 NHL Entry Draft by Chicago.

Sports director Marc Gautschi described Boqvist as an ‘extremely talented offensive defenseman’ with excellent game intelligence. The signing comes at a time when Genève-Servette is managing several roster absences due to injuries and suspensions.
