Actor Adam Brody expressed regret regarding the lack of romance in his marriage proposal to Leighton Meester. Speaking on the October 26 episode of the ‘Armchair Expert’ podcast, Brody described the engagement as “pedestrian,” noting that while the speed of the proposal was romantic, the event itself lacked the pageantry he feels his wife deserved.

The couple, known for their roles in ‘The O.C.’ and ‘Gossip Girl,’ engaged in November 2013 and married in 2014. Brody advised others to prioritize the romantic details of a proposal, stating, “Do it, not even just for the moment, but for the story that you’re going to tell forever.”

Brody and Meester have been married since 2014 and share two children: an 11-year-old daughter, Arlo, and a son born in 2020.
