Adam Copeland expresses no regret over career-altering AEW injury
Professional wrestler Adam Copeland has stated that he has no regrets regarding a high-risk maneuver performed at AEW Double or Nothing 2024, despite sustaining a serious injury.
During a barbed wire steel cage match against Malakai Black, the 50-year-old Copeland jumped from the top of the structure, resulting in a fractured tibia. The injury required surgery, including the installation of a plate and screws, and sidelined him from competition for approximately seven months. The injury also led to him being stripped of the AEW TNT Championship.
Speaking on ‘The Ariel Helwani Show’, Copeland noted that while the injury still causes physical discomfort and occasional instability in his leg, he views the incident as an inherent part of the profession. Copeland has since returned to the ring and currently holds the AEW World Tag Team Championship alongside Christian Cage.
