Adam Copeland set for AEW Dynamite qualifier

Adam Copeland is set to compete in a qualifying match against Josh Alexander on AEW Dynamite to determine entry into the inaugural Clockwork Carnage match. This unique contest, which will take place at WrestleDream, combines elements of a Casino Gauntlet and an Iron Man match. The winner of the qualifier will advance to compete for the AEW World Championship against seven other participants.

The Clockwork Carnage match features a structure where wrestlers enter at intervals; those pinned or submitted before all eight competitors have entered are eliminated. Once the field is full, the match transitions into a 15-minute Iron Man match. Current qualifiers include Samoa Joe, Mike Bailey, and AEW World Champion Will Ospreay.

Separately, Copeland has reached a three-year milestone since his AEW in-ring debut. He has expressed interest in wrestling at the Tokyo Dome, having already competed at venues such as Arena Mexico and Wembley Stadium this year.
