Adam Driver repeatedly declines Marvel MCU offers, calling it a “tradition”
Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige said on the Happy Sad Confused podcast that the studio has approached actor Adam Driver many times for roles in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but the actor has consistently turned them down. Feige described the pattern as a "long‑lived tradition" of Zoom calls that end with Driver saying no, noting that Driver is always cordial and upfront about his feelings.
No specific characters have been confirmed, though rumors link Driver to the upcoming X‑Men reboot – with possibilities ranging from Magneto to William Stryker or Mister Sinister. The reboot is being developed by director Jake Schreier, but Marvel has not made any casting decisions. Driver, best known for his role as Kylo Ren in the Star Wars sequel trilogy, continues to choose projects outside the MCU.
