Adam Gomoła: Sejm Chancellery approves most disputed expenses

The Sejm Chancellery has concluded an audit of Polish MP Adam Gomoła’s parliamentary office expenses following controversy over nearly 40,000 PLN spent on vehicle rentals. The audit initially identified missing rental agreements and invoices.

Deputy Head of the Sejm Chancellery, Jerzy Woźniak, confirmed that Gomoła has since provided the necessary documentation. The Chancellery has accepted almost all the submitted expenses, rejecting only a small amount.

The controversy centered on rentals from QMP sp. z o. o., a company in which Barbara Łabędzka is a major partner. Allegations were raised that Łabędzka is the MP’s fiancée. However, the Chancellery stated it lacks the authority to verify the private relationships of contractors, noting that vehicle rental is a standard practice and the audit focuses on the formal correctness of the documentation.
