Adam Hamilton requests Kamala Harris avoid campaigning in Kansas

Kansas Democratic Senate nominee Rev. Adam Hamilton has requested that former Vice President Kamala Harris refrain from campaigning in his state. Hamilton, a longtime pastor who won the Democratic primary in August, stated that Harris would not be helpful to his efforts to win crossover support in the Republican-leaning state, remarking, “Please do not come to my state. I do not need you here. You would actually hurt me.”

Hamilton is challenging Republican Senator Roger Marshall, who is currently seeking a second term. The Republican National Committee responded to Hamilton’s comments by accusing him of attempting to distance himself from Harris despite what they described as shared political records and a “radical left-wing agenda.”
