Adam Jones to run Cardiff Half Marathon after five-stone weight loss

Former Wales and British & Irish Lions prop Adam Jones has lost five stone (approximately 32kg) ahead of participating in the Cardiff Half Marathon. Jones revealed that his weight had reached over 156kg while he was working as a scrum coach for Wales in Japan, a period during which he also suffered from gout.

After implementing dietary changes and increasing his exercise, Jones has reduced his weight to approximately 124kg. He aims to complete the 13.1-mile course in a time between 2 hours 15 minutes and 2 hours 30 minutes.

Jones is undertaking the challenge to raise funds for two charities: St David’s Hospice Care and Prostate Cymru.
