Adam Karabec named new captain of Sparta Prague

Sparta Prague has appointed 23-year-old midfielder Adam Karabec as the new club captain. Karabec, a product of the club's academy, takes over the role following the departures of previous leaders Lukáš Haraslín and Asger Sörensen.

Sporting manager Tomáš Sivok noted that Karabec possesses a strong club mentality and has matured significantly during recent loan spells in Germany with Hamburg and in France with Lyon. Coach Brian Priske added that despite his youth, Karabec has become a responsible and popular figure in the locker room.

Karabec has made 148 competitive appearances for the club and has won two league titles. Patrik Vydra has been named as his deputy. The new leadership group will work closely together as the team prepares for upcoming matches, including the derby against Slavia Prague.
