Adam Kołaczkowski discusses gender transition and late mother

Adam Kołaczkowski, the son of the late Polish cabaret artist Joanna Kołaczkowska, spoke during an appearance on ‘Dzień Dobry TVN’ regarding his gender transition and the support he received from his mother.

Kołaczkowski shared that while speaking publicly about being transgender is difficult for him, his mother provided essential support during his journey toward self-acceptance. He described her as a loving mother who cared for him deeply, noting that her support was rooted in her role as his parent.

Kołaczkowski also reflected on the private personality of Joanna Kołaczkowska, who passed away on July 17, 2025, after a serious illness. He noted that while the public knew her as an energetic and witty performer, particularly as a co-founder of Kabaret Hrabi, she was a much more shy and reserved person in her private life.
