Adam Ramsay-Peaty gears up for fourth Commonwealth Games in Glasgow

Adam Ramsay-Peaty, the three‑time Olympic champion, is set to compete at his fourth Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, marking a full‑circle return to the city where he won his first gold in 2014. The 31‑year‑old swimmer, who famously beat Cameron van der Burgh in his debut, says he wants the focus to be on his performance in the pool, noting, “Pressure can be given to anyone, but it’s probably best in my hands because the more pressure I’m under, the better I perform.”

Since marrying model Holly Ramsay, daughter of chef Gordon Ramsay, in December, Ramsay‑Peaty has also announced that the couple are expecting their first child. He has relocated to London for training and intends to keep his private life out of the spotlight, stating, “Everything else is my private life. The racing is what people should see.” As one of the senior members of Team England, he is expected to lead the swimming squad at the 2026 Games and share his experience with younger teammates.
