Adam Ramsay-Peaty says he will only forgive family after they improve

Olympic swimmer Adam Ramsay-Peaty, who won two bronze medals and a silver at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, has said he will only reconcile with his estranged family if they demonstrate personal improvement. The feud, which became public during the lead‑up to his December 2025 wedding to Holly Ramsay – daughter of TV chef Gordon Ramsay – included banning his mother Caroline from the ceremony. In a Guardian interview, the 31‑year‑old, a practising Christian, explained that forgiveness “doesn’t mean you have to forget, but it takes time and must come from a place where they have improved as people.” He added that his priority is his wife, his six‑year‑old son from a previous relationship, and a daughter expected in December. The swimmer’s family tensions have been widely reported, but he emphasized his focus on sport and personal faith rather than media speculation.
