Adam Szłapka clashes with TV Republika reporter over data leak and Marcin Romanowski

A verbal altercation occurred between government spokesperson Adam Szłapka and a reporter from TV Republika during a press conference following a Council of Ministers meeting. The dispute began when the reporter asked about a personal data leak following a cyberattack on the MyDr platform. Szłapka responded with an ironic comment suggesting the station might soon have a ‘new correspondent,’ referencing Zbigniew Ziobro’s recent move to the United States and implying that MP Marcin Romanowski might also be abroad.

The reporter criticized the spokesperson’s conduct, stating, “I will not stoop to your level.”

The exchange coincided with ongoing reports regarding the whereabouts of Marcin Romanowski, a former Deputy Minister of Justice. Prime Minister Donald Tusk stated that regional intelligence services suggest there is a 99 percent certainty that Romanowski is currently in Transnistria, the breakaway region in Moldova. Romanowski, who faces charges related to irregularities in the Justice Fund, recently applied for safe passage through a court in Tiraspol.
