Adamawa APC elders urge Federal Government to award Yola-Mubi road phase two

Elders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Northern Zone in Adamawa State have called on the Federal Government to award the contract for the second phase of the Yola-Mubi road project. The group commended the contractor, AG Vision, for completing the first 52-kilometre phase of the road.

Spokesman Mohammed Abubakar emphasized that the road is vital for northern Adamawa as it connects Nigeria to Cameroon and serves the commercial hub of Mubi. Beyond economic benefits and boosting cross-border trade, the group noted that the completed infrastructure would enhance the ability of security agencies to respond to insurgency, banditry, and kidnapping in areas near the Sambisa Forest.

The APC elders urged the Minister of Works, David Umahi, to fast-track the second phase before the 2027 general elections to support regional development and strengthen the party's position.
