Adamawa SDP candidate Nathaniel unveils 2027 development plan

Christopher Nathaniel, the Social Democratic Party (SDP) governorship candidate for Adamawa State, has unveiled a development agenda focused on healthcare, security, and infrastructure for the 2027 elections.

Key proposals include providing free maternal healthcare in all public hospitals to ensure pregnant women do not face financial barriers during delivery. To address transportation costs, Nathaniel pledged to introduce Compressed Natural Gas (CNG)-powered buses and tricycles.

His plan also addresses energy and education. He intends to exploit local water resources, such as the Kiri Dam, to generate electricity and aims to convert existing modern schools into boarding institutions with increased teacher recruitment. Additionally, Nathaniel emphasized the importance of the media, promising to equip journalists to better perform their watchdog roles.
