Adamed Pharma acquires majority stake in Ecupharma
Adamed Pharma, a Polish pharmaceutical and biotechnology company, has increased its stake in the Italian firm Ecupharma from 25% to 85%. The acquisition of an additional 60% stake involved a 22 million euro investment and was finalized in July 2026.
Ecupharma, founded in Milan in 1993, generates approximately 33 million euros in annual revenue. Following the transaction, Adamed aims to double its Italian revenues to 87 million euros within five years and expand its combined product portfolio to over 220 references (SKUs), primarily under the Adamed brand.
Luciano Grottola will remain the CEO of Ecupharma. The partnership, which began in 2019, focuses on therapeutic areas such as urology, neurology, psychiatry, and cardiology, targeting the growing demand for chronic disease treatments in Italy.
