Adams County deputies arrest Claiborne County grand larceny fugitive

Jabarrine Whitney, a fugitive wanted by the Claiborne County Sheriff’s Office on grand larceny charges, was apprehended in Adams County on Wednesday afternoon.

Following a request for assistance from Claiborne County Sheriff Edward Goods at approximately 1:08 p.m., Adams County Sheriff Travis Patten deployed the Adams County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Group. The group located and took Whitney into custody at approximately 3:28 p.m., roughly two hours after the initial request.

Following the arrest, members of the Adams County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division assisted in transporting Whitney to the Adams County Jail. Officials highlighted the arrest as a successful example of law enforcement partnership between neighboring jurisdictions.
