Adamus Mining Faces Community Push to Reject Misinformation in Ghana's Salman

Traditional leaders and youth in Salman, Ellembelle District of Ghana's Western Region issued statements urging the public to disregard what they described as false and misleading information about Adamus Mining Company. The statements, signed by Chief Nana Kwamena Bentum II and local officials, alleged that the misinformation is being spread by individuals linked to illegal (galamsey) mining to create tension and undermine the company's lawful operations.

The groups called on the media, community members and security agencies to rely only on verified official sources and to investigate those responsible for the alleged misinformation campaign. They reaffirmed that Adamus Mining operates within Ghana's legal framework, engages in community consultations and development, and is committed to responsible mining and environmental stewardship.
