Adamus Resources license revocation challenged by IMANI Africa

Franklin Cudjoe, President of IMANI Africa, has called on Ghana’s Lands and Natural Resources Minister, Emmanuel Armah Kofi Buah, to reassess the revocation of mining leases held by Adamus Resources Limited.

Cudjoe alleges that the Minerals Commission failed to follow due process as outlined in the Minerals and Mining Act (Act 703) before revoking the licenses. He characterized the accusations against the company as “heavily contrived and choreographed” following only three days of investigation.

Furthermore, Cudjoe criticized the appointment of an Interim Management Committee to oversee the company’s operations, describing the move as an illegal seizure. While praising the Minister’s efforts to combat illegal mining and protect forest areas, Cudjoe warned that the handling of Adamus Resources could damage the Minister's reputation and the integrity of legitimate mining operations.
