Adamus Resources rewards 100 top BECE students in Ellembele

Adamus Resources Limited has rewarded the top 100 students who completed the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) in the Ellembele District of Ghana’s Western Region. As part of a corporate social responsibility initiative, each student received a chop box, 15 exercise books, and pens.

Wilfred Katey Adodoadji, the Ellembele District Director of Education, described the donation as “the first of its kind in the whole district,” noting that the gesture would help alleviate financial burdens for parents. He suggested expanding the program to support the top 50 students from each of the district’s 40 basic schools, which would increase the number of annual beneficiaries to 400.

Salifu Awumbilla, Senior Liaison Officer for Adamus Resources, stated that the company prioritizes building a solid educational foundation for local children. This philanthropic effort follows a recent request from the Office of the President for the mining firm to present a 12-month turnaround roadmap for its operations, though no official link has been established between the two events.
