Adamuz derailment victims reject unified legal claims
The Adamuz Derailment Victims Association has expressed strong opposition to a judge's plan to unify all legal claims related to the tragedy. Mario Samper, president of the association, stated that this unification would force victims to accept legal representation they did not choose and do not recognize.
Additionally, the association criticized the central government for changing its policy regarding medical evaluation tests. While the government had previously promised to conduct these assessments in Huelva—where the majority of victims reside—it is now requiring them to travel to Madrid. Samper noted that this change poses significant mobility challenges for many injured individuals who suffer from long-term physical consequences of the accident.
