Adamuz victims condemn Óscar Puente's promotional video

The Adamuz Train Derailment Victims Association (AVDA) has expressed deep indignation regarding a promotional sketch for the television program ‘Cara al Show’ on La Sexta. The video features Spanish Transport Minister Óscar Puente in a comedic scene where an elevator malfunction occurs, prompting him to joke about the current state of Renfe.

AVDA President Mario Samper described the sketch as a “joke that is quite out of place and in very bad taste,” accusing the minister of mocking the ongoing issues within the railway system. The association highlighted the insensitivity of the content, noting that the minister is overseeing a department marked by the Adamuz tragedy, which resulted in 46 deaths and numerous injuries.

Survivors of the accident have also voiced their disapproval on social media, characterizing the minister's participation in an entertainment program and his social media comments as a lack of respect and humanity toward those affected by the derailment.
