The Press Advertisement Agency (BİK) Adana Regional Directorate and the Çukurova Development Agency (ÇKA) have signed a protocol to launch a project titled ‘Development of AI-Supported Digital Tourism Journalism and Regional Promotion Capacity in Local Press’. The initiative aims to enhance the digital journalism capabilities of local media outlets and more effectively promote the tourism potential of Adana and Mersin through high-quality content.
Scheduled for December, the training program will involve 30 journalists in a 15-hour course spanning three days. The curriculum will combine theoretical instruction with practical workshops, covering topics such as AI-based content creation tools, AI literacy, prompt engineering, GEO awareness, digital tourism journalism principles, and data-driven reporting. Participants will also engage in hands-on exercises for visual and social media content production.
During the signing ceremony, ÇKA Secretary General Ahmet Rifat Duran emphasized the importance of supporting local media and regional development, noting that any work contributing to the tourism sector holds significant value for the Çukurova region.
