Adana Chamber of Commerce promotes social unity through choir

The Adana Chamber of Commerce (ATO) has launched its choir as part of a broader emphasis on culture and arts to strengthen social and institutional bonds. The ATO Choir consists of chamber council members, employees, and their families, performing works from Turkish folk music.

ATO President Mehmet Şahbaz stated that while the primary duty of chambers of commerce is to contribute to economic development, social, cultural, and artistic activities are essential components of institutional life. He noted that such activities contribute significantly to social cohesion.

Under the direction of conductor Zafer Halaçoğlu, the choir has begun its new season. Halaçoğlu has extended an invitation to anyone interested in Turkish folk music to join the group, emphasizing that the diverse membership helps strengthen both performance and institutional solidarity.
