Adana authorities assist family living in unsanitary conditions

Following a report submitted to the Presidential Communications Center (CİMER), authorities in Adana's Seyhan district intervened to assist a mother and her three children living in unsanitary conditions.

Upon investigation by the Adana Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services, the residence was identified as a 'trash house' lacking basic hygiene and essential household items. The children, born in 2010, 2011, and 2015, include two diagnosed with varying levels of autism and one with moderate special needs.

During the intervention, the children were placed in temporary protection at a women's shelter to monitor their health, nutrition, and the mother's interaction with them. Authorities subsequently cleaned, disinfected, and renovated the family's home, providing new essential furniture and supplies. Once the living space was deemed safe and suitable, the family returned to their residence. Social and economic support processes, including special education and rehabilitation services for the children, have been initiated.
