Adana family receives housing after falling victim to fraud

A family of five in the Yüreğir district of Adana has been relocated to a rental home following a financial fraud incident. Hatun and Mehmet Aslaner, parents of five children, were targeted by an individual claiming to be a neighbor who promised assistance with bank credit to purchase a home. The couple instead incurred 1.2 million Turkish Liras in debt after providing personal information, leading to their eventual eviction.

After the family was forced to live in a tent in a stable, Interior Minister Mustafa Çiftçi instructed the Adana Governorship to provide immediate housing. The Yüreğir District Governor's Office Social Assistance and Solidarity Foundation subsequently rented a house for the family and provided necessary furniture, moving them from the tent to their new residence.
