Adana football clubs outline strategic goals and financial challenges

Football clubs in Adana are addressing different strategic and financial priorities. Adana 01 Futbol Kulübü Vice President Tuygun Eren announced the club's primary goal of reaching the 1. Lig. Ahead of their match against Karacabey Belediyespor at the Yeni Adana Stadium, Eren emphasized the importance of community support and announced that tickets will be free for students to encourage youth engagement.

Separately, Adanaspor President Uğur Özdemir detailed the club's significant financial hurdles. Despite facing approximately 60 million TL in debt to foreign players and a total debt limit near 200 million TL, the club has begun negotiations for external transfers. Özdemir noted that the club has struggled with irregular record-keeping over the last three years and intends to pursue legal action regarding unauthorized contracts and claims. The administration's immediate priority is to resolve transfer bans by addressing tax, social security, and utility debts.
