Adana Golden Axe Film Festival announces documentary finalists

The 33rd International Adana Golden Axe Film Festival has announced the eight finalists for its National Documentary Film Competition. Out of 66 submissions, the selected films will compete for the grand prize.

Notably, six of the eight finalists—‘Bay Okan’, ‘Epipe’, ‘Kağıdın Sesi’, ‘Mor Menekşeli Kadınlar’, ‘Sende Bana Rastladım’, and ‘Sıcak Bir Göz: Mehmet Güreli’—will make their world premieres during the festival. The festival, hosted by the Adana Metropolitan Municipality, is scheduled to take place from September 26 to October 4, 2026.

The selection was determined by a committee including Burçin Yalçın, Gülten Taranç, and Necla Algan. The final jury consists of Ecevit Kılıç, Evrim Kaya, Rezan Yeşilbaş, Sibel Karakurt, and Talha Eyüboğlu. Screenings will be held at the CinemaPink salons within the 01 Burda AVM.
