Adana Hacı Sabancı Organized Industrial Zone plans waste-to-fuel facility

The Adana Hacı Sabancı Organized Industrial Zone (AOSB) has begun feasibility studies for a new Waste-Derived Fuel (WDF) facility. The project aims to transform suitable industrial waste into alternative fuel and energy sources, aligning with the region's Green Organized Industrial Zone vision.

By implementing a circular economy and industrial symbiosis approach, the facility intends to reduce the amount of waste sent to landfills and lower waste disposal costs for local manufacturers. AOSB Chairman Bekir Sütcü stated that the organization views waste not merely as an element to be disposed of, but as a sustainable resource that can be converted into economic value to enhance industrial competitiveness.
