Adana launches development program and 10th gastronomy festival

Adana is launching a comprehensive economic and developmental strategy centered on the Adana Development Program, which aims to prepare the region for the year 2040. Governor Mustafa Yavuz announced a roadmap consisting of 311 projects, including 44 ongoing large-scale initiatives and 162 projects planned for investment. The vision seeks to position Adana as a major production and attraction center to serve as an alternative to the Marmara Region, leveraging its logistics capabilities.

Key industrial and infrastructure components of this plan include the Ceyhan-Yumurtalık petrochemical and chemical industry corridor, the East Mediterranean Container Port, and the Çukurova International Airport. The development strategy also encompasses food, greenhouse, and aquaculture sectors.

Complementing these industrial efforts, the city will celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Adana Gastronomy Festival from October 9–11. The festival, which highlights the region's culinary history and agricultural wealth, is expected to provide a significant boost to the local economy, following a previous year where it generated 3.7 billion lira in economic value.
