Adana to host international flavor festival and WTA tennis tournament

Adana is preparing for two major international events: the 10th anniversary of the International Adana Flavor Festival and the WTA 125 Adana Open tennis tournament.

The International Adana Flavor Festival will take place from October 9–11 at Merkez Park. Celebrating its tenth year with the theme “Acısıyla Tatlısıyla 10. Yıl, On'ca Lezzet,” the event aims to attract over one million visitors. The festival will feature local specialties such as kebab, şalgam, and şırdan, alongside international chefs from countries including Mexico, Egypt, India, and South Korea. A significant focus for this year is the “Zero Waste” concept, utilizing biodegradable and recyclable materials for all packaging and utensils.

Simultaneously, the WTA 125 Adana Open tennis tournament is scheduled from September 26 to October 4. The event will host 40 athletes from 34 different countries, including several players ranked in the world's top 100. Local officials emphasized that the tournament serves as a platform to promote Adana's history, geography, and gastronomy to an international sporting audience.
