Adana police arrest two women for attempted burglary

Two women, identified as Gökçe U. (24) and Yeter U. (26), were arrested in the Seyhan district of Adana after attempting to break into a residence using lockpicking tools.

During the incident in the Küçükdikili neighborhood, the suspects were spotted by the homeowner, Fatma Kılavuz, and subsequently pursued and caught by local residents. To evade capture, Yeter U. allegedly feigned an epileptic seizure by throwing herself to the ground and convulsing, while Gökçe U. claimed her companion was suffering from a medical emergency and demanded an ambulance. The homeowner recorded the performance on a mobile phone, noting that the behavior appeared staged.

Police arrived at the scene and recovered the lockpicking tools used in the attempt. Investigations revealed that the suspects have extensive criminal records, with Yeter U. having 80 prior records and Gökçe U. having 20. Both individuals have been formally arrested by the court.
