Adana Urban Transformation Platform receives political support

The Eastern Mediterranean Construction Contractors Federations (DAİMFED) has initiated steps to establish an Urban Transformation Platform in Adana, Turkey. The initiative aims to accelerate the renewal of risky building stocks, particularly in the wake of the February 6 earthquakes.

DAİMFED President Mustafa Karslıoğlu met with the Adana provincial chairs of the AK Party and MHP to brief them on the platform's objectives. The platform is designed to serve as a coordination hub, bringing together public institutions, local governments, industry representatives, financial institutions, and citizens.

By fostering a 'common mind' approach, the platform seeks to address critical challenges in the urban renewal process, including financing difficulties, consensus-building among stakeholders, and bureaucratic hurdles. Both political leaders expressed support for the project, stating they would follow the progress of the platform to benefit the city's development.
