Adani Airports and IHCL partner to develop eight hotels
Adani Airport Holdings Limited (AAHL) and the Tata Group-owned Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) have signed a multi-hotel operating agreement to develop eight hotels across several Indian cities. The project will include more than 2,000 rooms located in Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, and Guwahati.
Under the agreement, AAHL will develop the properties, while IHCL will manage them using its various hospitality brands, including Taj, Vivanta, Gateway, and Ginger. The specific breakdown includes three Taj hotels, two Vivanta hotels, one Gateway hotel, and two Ginger hotels. For instance, Mumbai will feature a Taj hotel at Terminal 2.
The collaboration aims to support the growth of airport-centric commercial ecosystems as India's aviation market expands. This initiative is part of AAHL's broader development through Adani Airport City Ltd, which plans to invest over Rs 20,000 crore to develop significant land banks across multiple states.
