Adani Energy Solutions and Axxela report high ESG performance

Adani Energy Solutions Limited (AESL) has achieved the highest ESG score globally in the utilities sector according to S&P Global’s latest Media and Stakeholder Analysis review. AESL’s ESG score rose to 90 out of 100, significantly exceeding the industry average of 41. The company reported strong performance in environmental (93), social (89), and governance and economic (84) dimensions, citing improvements in climate strategy and human capital management.

In sub-Saharan Africa, Axxela Limited has released its 2025 Sustainability Report, detailing its environmental, social, and governance performance. The company expanded its gas pipeline network by 39km across Lagos, Ogun, and Rivers states in Nigeria. Axxela also reported achieving a Gold Medal rating in the EcoVadis Sustainability Assessment, placing it within the top 5% of companies globally, and recorded 9.6 million Lost Time Injury free man-hours.
