Adani Ports reports 9% container throughput rise and plans 100‑acre CFS at Vizhinjam

Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd. (APSEZ) announced a 9% year‑on‑year increase in container throughput for fiscal year 2025, driven by stronger import‑export activity, higher transshipment volumes and operational improvements across its Indian port network. The growth underscores APSEZ’s role as India’s largest private port operator and supports its ongoing expansion of logistics infrastructure.

The company also disclosed plans to develop a 100‑acre Container Freight Station (CFS) near the Vizhinjam International Seaport in Kerala. The facility will handle export‑import (EXIM) containers, provide customs clearance, warehousing and value‑added services, and is expected to reduce congestion at the deep‑water transshipment hub while boosting supply‑chain efficiency for domestic exporters and importers.
